Welcome to all of our Lancer Dancer hopefuls!
We are excited you're here!

Tryouts are just around the corner, so please check back here and on our instagram for updates!
There are FIVE important things you'll need to do BEFORE you try out:
1. Fill out a tryout application due Monday, April 14th

2. Read and fill out your tryout contract due Monday, April 14th
3. Fill out your written interview due Tuesday, April 22nd
4. Read through our Lancer Dancer Team Constitution AND Calendar of Events with a parent or guardian. You do not need to fill out the form on the last page of the Constitution unless you make the team.
5. Attend the pre-tryout meeting on Monday, April 14th at 7:00 PM in the SME Cafeteria.
Below you will find some very basic information about tryouts, but please read through the constitution and calendar of events for
more detailed information.
When:

Tryout Material - Tryout Videos and Technical Skill Video Requirements will be posted
Tuesday, April 14th at www.smelancerdancers.com on the tryout materials page.

Open Gym at SME: Monday, April 21st 12:00-2:00pm in the Main Gym
Clinic 1: Tuesday, April 22nd 6:00-9:00pm at SME
Clinic 2: Wednesday, April 23rd 4:00-6:00pm at SME
Tryouts: Thursday, April 24th after school
Where should I go?
Check-in inside the SME Gymnasium entrance
What should I bring/wear?
Bring a water bottle, jazz shoes, and tennis shoes. We will provide poms and a flag for you to use. Please wear all black tank top or leotard and black form fitting shorts.
What will I perform at the tryout?

The game day, jazz, hip hop, and flag routines you will learn from the videos

The technical skills portion of your tryout will be a video that you record and turn in by Tuesday, April 22nd at 10:00PM. Full instructions on will be released on April 15th.
When will results be posted?
Tryout results will be posted no sooner than 9:00pm on April 24th.
